Desired Contract Management expertise includes large civil earthworks/road construction, drill and blast operations, haulage, quarry management, remote mountainous access road construction, unit rate structure, time and materials. Experience with BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is an asset.

Duties:
  • Responsible to keep detailed records of all contract-related documents, including contract variations, amendments, site instructions, change orders, etc;
  • Acts as a liaison between project stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and other key internal stakeholders ensuring there is clear and effective communication to address any issues or changes;
  • Manages and processes any changes to the original supply or service contracts including assessing impact of changes on the project's budget, schedule, and ensuring the parties agree to these modifications formally;
  • Review and validation of claims; liaison with Project Team Members, assisting in drafting responses to contractor / supplier claims; provide recommendation for resolution; management of claims, maintenance of records and registers;
  • Monitoring of contractor / supplier compliance, progress, and deliverables in close partnership with Project Teams;
  • Identifies potential risks related to contractual obligations and works on mitigation strategies to minimize impacts to the budget and schedule.
