An international law firm with an office in Toronto, ON is seeking an experienced Insurance Litigator to join their team.
This is a litigation-focused role with additional coverage work and we’re seeking those who have exceptional writing skills and a desire to provide excellent service to their clients in court. In the heart of Toronto, this is an opportunity to work with one of the most recognizable law firms in the region and have a phenomenal reputation in the insurance atmosphere.
About the Company
Our client, an international law firm in Toronto, Ontario is looking for an experienced Insurance Litigator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with insurers and policyholders on complex files. The firm works with some of the most recognizable insurance companies across the country. The ideal candidate for this position possesses diverse litigation experience in the insurance industry and possesses courtroom experience.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal analysis and advice in litigation with a focus on professional negligence claims, construction disputes, and coverage disputes related to municipal liability, property insurance, and product liability.
- Maintaining relations with the insurers and insureds and reviewing documents in preparation for litigation.
- Providing mentorship to junior lawyers and developing overall skills.
- Attending events for professional and business development strategies.
- Support a Partner in their book of business within the insurance industry.
- Collaborate with other associates in coverage disputes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years in Insurance Defence, with coverage experience.
- Excellent academics (B student and/or greater).
- Strong writing skills.
- Trial experience.
- Private practice experience is preferable but not necessary.
