Our client has been operational for over 40 years in the Lower Mainland. They are a family business that specialises mainly in high rise and low rise multi family residential projects.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
In this role you will be running a crew of 15-25 electricians for a 40+ story tower in Coquitlam. The project will be breaking ground soon and is yet to begin.
ABOUT THE POSITION
- In this role your duties will be as follows:
- Lead and supervise electrical crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work practices.
- Assign daily tasks, provide on-the-job training, and guide crew members to support their development and performance.
- Promote a positive and productive team environment while addressing issues proactively.
- Ensure full compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations (e.g., Canadian Electrical Code, WorkSafeBC), and company policies.
- Investigate safety concerns promptly to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project scope and requirements.
- Assist with project planning, including scheduling and budgeting tasks.
- Order, track, and manage materials and equipment needed for the job.
- Conduct quality control inspections to confirm all work aligns with specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, and material requisitions.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly as they arise.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience running a high-rise project from start to completion as an Electrical Foreman
- Red Seal Ticket
- Proficient using Bluebeam and Autocad an asset
- Experience leading teams of 15-25 electricians
COMPENSATION
- $50 – $65 an hour depending on experience
- 100% health and dental coverage paid by employer
- Company cell phone, gas card and laptop
- Car allowance
- Lucrative performance based bonuses
