This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mutual fund manager seeking a new challenge!

ABOUT THE CLIENT
Based in downtown Vancouver, our client is a well-established investment firm with more than a decade of industry experience. They are currently looking to add an experienced Mutual Funds Manager to their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the VP, Finance, the mutual funds manager will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Oversee quarterly and monthly income distributions for all the investment funds
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on the annual updates of the simplified prospectus and AIF
  • Oversee daily fund valuation and transfer agency processes to ensure everything runs smoothly and accurately.
  • Handle income distributions for investment funds on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Prepare for new launches, changes, or updates to fund offerings.
  • Help shape and maintain internal policies related to securities regulations, AML, FATCA, and CRS
  • Coordinate audits and tax filings for investment and pooled funds with external providers
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with service providers (auditors, tax advisors, fund accountants, recordkeepers, etc.).
  • Work in collaboration with different departments to align fund operations with business objectives
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Salary: $110,000 to $125,000
  • Extended health and dental.
  • Profit sharing
  • 3 to 4 weeks' vacation.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ year's experience in mutual fund accounting
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian capital markets, mutual fund structures, and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience in various portfolio management applications with a focus on NAVing and transfer agency components
