Responsibilities:
- Spearhead a diverse range of corporate transactions, from general search and registration services to incorporations, share structure amendments, and beyond.
- Take charge of incorporating and organizing Alberta and Federal corporations, societies, and not-for-profit companies.
- Provide invaluable support to lawyers by assisting with amalgamations, arrangements, reorganizations, and amendments.
- Handle the registration of limited partnerships, both domestic and extra-provincial.
- Skillfully prepare dividend resolutions and meticulously review minute books.
- Ensure accurate data entry of entities into corporate databases and document management systems.
- Showcase your ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy throughout.
Qualifications:
- Possess a paralegal diploma or certificate, coupled with a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in corporate paralegal roles.
- Exhibit proficiency in all facets of corporate work, with a preference for experience with Alberta CORES III work and accreditation.
- Showcase advanced computer skills, particularly with PDF and MS Word applications.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and coordinate activities in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with corporate databases such as ALF is considered a valuable asset.
- Show dedication to ongoing process improvement initiatives.
