Are you a strong people leader with a passion for process improvement and team engagement? We’re hiring a Manager, Insolvency Services to lead a high-performing team in a well-established organization committed to helping clients on their financial journey.

This is a 14 month contract, in the downtown Calgary office, offering a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role with a team that plays a critical role in supporting clients and managing complex financial service operations.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead a team of 25 staff supporting insolvency proposal services, including client engagement, claims processing and creditor communications.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and structure to support team performance and engagement.
  • Act as a visible, approachable leader—present on the floor and actively engaged with the team.
  • Monitor workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure consistency in service delivery and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Lead or support the development of technical documentation, process maps, and internal discussion papers.
  • Champion a client-first mindset by reinforcing the importance of empathy, clarity, and accountability in client interactions.
  • Promote a strong team culture built on trust, open communication, and shared goals.
  • Partner with Team Leads to support training, onboarding, and performance development.

About You:
  • You bring 5+ years of people leadership experience in a fast-paced, process-heavy environment.
  • Experience in insolvency is required.
  • You’re confident, collaborative, and comfortable “rolling up your sleeves” to understand day-to-day operations.
  • You’re motivated by helping teams thrive and individuals grow.
  • You can balance a big-picture perspective with the ability to jump into the details when needed.
