Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon are seeking an experienced Project Manager for an exciting remote long term contract opportunity with our Government client based in Winnipeg. This position begins with a 6-month term, with an expected total duration of 24 months.

Project Managers plan, organize and manage some or all aspects of a project such as project initiation, project planning, project execution and project closure. Projects will vary in complexity, duration, approach and technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary ownership of the project Deliverables. Provide day to day direction to the project team
  • Manage and control project scope and strategic aspects of the project
  • Manage the project, resources, associated work plans, and dependencies
  • Manage the overall integration of all project teams' work efforts
  • Ensure that project team has properly qualified resources on the project
  • Review and approve selected project Deliverables
  • Manage and expedite issue resolution
  • Monitor budget to actual project expenditures, headcount, Deliverable completion, and milestones
  • Communicate with steering committee, project sponsor, and business process owners
  • Identify, track, and report project performance metrics
  • Identify and help remove barriers to team performance
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing Information Technology projects
  • Valid PMP Certification or Prince2 Practitioner certification
  • Expertise in project lifecycles, and project planning including resource, cost, and schedule estimation
  • Experience working on a project within a large-scale program requiring integration with other projects and adherence to an overall program strategy and execution
  • Experience working on large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation projects
  • Experience developing business cases
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing Information Technology projects
  • Valid PMP Certification or Prince2 Practitioner certification

  • Experience working on a project within a large-scale program requiring integration with other projects and adherence to an overall program strategy and execution
  • Experience working on large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation projects
  • Experience developing business cases
It is preferred that the Resource has the following qualifications or experience:
  • SAP project management experience in one, or all, of the following areas: S4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass, SuccessFactors
  • Strong exposure to SAP Activate Methodology in a Hybrid Agile delivery approach
  • Solid understanding of the SAP landscape, modules, and terminology
  • Ability to liaise between SAP & System Integrator consultants and Business SME's to ensure requirements are met while ensuring the adoption of best practice is maintained
  • Criminal background check is required
