Aplin is seeking Material Handlers for our client in Saskatoon. Candidates must possess prior shipping and receiving experience, hold a valid forklift license, and demonstrate flexibility by working overtime when required. This is a fast-paced role that demands attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability.
This is a one month contract with potential of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and move materials.
- Verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
- Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Assist in preparing orders for shipment, including labeling and packaging.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and operational goals.
- Adapt to changing workloads and prioritize tasks effectively.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
- Valid forklift license with proven skills in operating equipment safely.
- Ability to work overtime, including evenings or weekends, when required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality control.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software is an asset.
