Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct onsite inspections to support condition assessments, capital assessments, and project designs for roof replacements, building envelope repairs, and fall protection systems.
  • Evaluate and analyze building components related to roofing, building envelopes, and fall protection.
  • Collaborate with Senior and Project Engineers to develop cost estimates for capital replacement and repair recommendations.
  • Prepare technical reports detailing identified issues and recommended solutions.
  • Investigate and develop technical solutions for issues found during inspections.
  • Perform field quality assurance inspections on capital repair and replacement projects to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Conduct onsite testing of building envelope installations according to industry standards.
  • Develop facility, roof, and building envelope drawings using CAD.
  • Assist in creating detailed CAD drawings for roof replacement and fall protection projects.
  • Manage project communication and reporting to ensure accurate tracking of performance and issues.
  • Handle additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Engineering diploma, preferably in structural or mechanical engineering.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Comfortable with travel within Southern Saskatchewan (mostly day trips).
