Responsibilities
- Evaluate, underwrite, and approve loan applications in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their financial needs are understood and met effectively.
- Provide expert financial advice and recommend appropriate loan products tailored to individual client circumstances.
- Conduct in-depth credit analyses and risk assessments to ensure sound decision-making.
- Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to grow the loan portfolio through business development activities.
- Monitor loan performance and take appropriate actions to address any delinquent accounts or risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline loan processes and improve client experiences.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, financial regulations, and competitor offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in loan origination, underwriting, and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of lending practices, credit risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first approach.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Solid analytical and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in financial software, loan management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Post-secondary education in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to relocate to Wainwright, Alberta (relocation support provided).
