Our client, a well known leader in the financial sector is seeking an AML Internal Auditor to support a financial services engagement in Toronto. This 6-month contract (with potential for extension) offers a hybrid work model (2-3 days in office) and the chance to work on high-impact projects assessing financial crime risks and compliance programs.

What You’ll Do
- Execute AML compliance testing, including walkthroughs, control assessments, and effectiveness evaluations.
- Analyze key financial crime risks and compliance gaps.
- Conduct independent AML program assessments for financial institutions.
- Assist in regulatory validation procedures and audit documentation.
- Support the engagement manager in reporting key findings and recommendations.
What You Bring
- 2-3 years of combined experience in AML Compliance and Internal Audit.
- Strong understanding of AML regulations, including PCMLTFA, OSFI, and FINTRAC.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFCS, CIA) are an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, report writing, and communication skills (French is an asset).
