Aplin is currently partnered with a global leader in marine HVAC-R systems to hire an Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will design, program, and commission advanced control systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems on large marine vessels. You will contribute to innovative global projects, supporting system design, automation, and on-site commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
  • Program and configure PLC and HMI systems (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Beijer).
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-ups.
  • Support field engineers during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Travel up to 15% to client sites and shipyards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation and controls.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and PLC programming.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Bilingual (English/French) communication skills preferred.
  • Ability to gain Controlled Goods and Reliability clearance.
